Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Artsakh
19 May, 2018On May 19, the meeting between Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Masis Mayilyan, Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Artsakh, was held in Stepanakert.
The tête-à-tête meeting was followed by talks in an expanded format, with participation of delegations.
Welcoming the guest, Foreign Minister of Artsakh congratulated Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on assuming the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and wished him further success in his important mission.
The Foreign Ministers emphasized the importance of continuous and efficient cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, holding of regular political consultations and frequent meetings at different levels.
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the latest developments in the process of exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. The two touched upon the recent contacts on that issue.
The day before, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan visited the Headquarters of the Defense Army of Artsakh, where the Commander of the Defense Army, lieutenant-general Levon Mnatsakanyan presented the situation in the conflict zone, touched upon implemented and ongoing processes aimed at strengthening the defense system of Artsakh.
