On June 14 at the initiative of the British side a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and the UK Minister of State for Europe and the Americas Alan Duncan.

Congratulating Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on his appointment as Foreign Minister Alan Duncan expressed hope that through joint efforts the relations between the two states will develop even further.

Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed his interlocutor on the recent developments in Armenia and the priorities of the programme of the new Government.

A number of issues of the Armenian-British agenda were touched upon during the phone conversation. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Alan Duncan exchanged views on the cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia briefed Alan Duncan on the efforts within the format of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship aimed at peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
