On July 10, Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian received John Kur, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Expressing gratitude to the Ambassador for his work in Armenia, Deputy Minister Hovakimian noted that the activity of John Kur in its scope and effectiveness was quite extensive for a non-resident Ambassador. In his turn, Ambassador Kur thanked the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their active cooperation with the Embassy.

 At the meeting a number of issues concerning the Armenian-Canadian relations, including participation of Canada in the Summit of La Francophonie to be held in Yerevan this fall, were discussed.
