On August 31, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia, received Ambassador Lise Filiatrault, Personal Representative of Canadian Prime Minister, and Annick Goulet, Chargé d'Affaires of Canada in Armenia.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Mnatsakanyan highly appreciated the partnery relations established between Armenia and Canada both in bilateral and multilateral formats, particularly highlighting the format of the International Organization of La Francophonie as a valuable platform for cooperation.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Personal Representative of Canadian Prime Minister discussed steps taken towards expanding the cooperation in fields of trade and economy, culture and education.

While commending the achievements of Armenia towards developing innovations, digital technologies and creative education, the Canadian diplomats highlighted the importance of deepening cooperation in this area.

The sides touched upon the process of preparatory works of the Francophonie Summit in  Yerevan and its side events.
