On October 11, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Sidiki Kaba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Senegal, and Mbagnick Ndiaye, Minister in charge of Regional Integration, NEPAD and Francophonie, who are in Yerevan for the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

The interlocutors expressed mutual interest in developing bilateral relations through expanding the political dialogue, intensifying the cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and educational spheres.

Touching upon the works of the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Senegal highlighted its activity as an effective platform for cooperation based on common values. Among the priorities of Armenia's presidency in the organization Minister Mnatsakanyan pointed out the cooperation in the areas of digital economy, information technology and innovation, as well as promotion of an exchange of experience and ideas.
