The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Armenia presented the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Armen Papikyan

On November 2, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Armenia (residence in Moscow) Bolot Otunbayev handed over the copies of his credentials to Armen Papikyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia.

After congratulating Bolot Otunbayev on the occasion of his appointment as an Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Armenia and wishing him success, Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan expressed hope that Ambassador would make his important contribution to the development and expansion of the Armenian-Kyrgyz cooperation.

In his welcoming remarks, he particularly noted: "It is symbolic that this meeting takes place in the jubilee year for our countries and peoples -  the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Armenian-Kyrgyz diplomatic relations. We are hopeful that this will give an additional impetus for the intensification of bilateral relations between the two countries, and for the development of effective political, economic and cultural dialogue, taking also into account that due to joint efforts we have a considerable experience of inter-state cooperation and a legal framework that could be further enhanced".

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Bolot Otunbayev noted that it is a great honour for him to be the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Armenia and expressed readiness to contribute through his work to further development and expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

At the meeting, Armen Papikyan and Bolot Otunbaev discussed a wide range of issues related to political, economic, educational and cultural collaboration. In this context, the two sides highlighted the importance of high-level mutual visits, of holding regular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, promotion of trade and economic ties, mutually beneficial cooperation in international structures (CIS, CSTO, EAEU, UN, etc.), convocation of the first session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic, deepening of humanitarian and cultural relations, as well as further expansion of the legal framework.

At the end of the meeting Ambassador Otunbaev handed to the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Armenia Babken Sedrakyan the special diploma of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan for the great contribution to the development of Armenian-Kyrgyz relations and active support to the preparation and conduct of high level events.
