On December 10, Acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received representatives of a number of delegations visiting Armenia to observe the parliamentary elections in Armenia.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and representatives of the observation missions commended the high level of organization of the pre-election campaign and parliamentary elections, exchanged views on cooperation for further improvement of electoral processes.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia underlined that efforts aimed at strengthening the rule of law and the protection of human rights in the country are implemented by the active participation of civil society, which is a solid basis for strengthening democratic institutions and raising public confidence. Foreign Minister of Armenia underscored that the results of elections reiterated the popular mandate and confidence towards the acting government, which is extremely encouraging and, at the same time, obliging to continue the reform process, in cooperation with international partners.

The interlocutors also highly appreciated the active participation and role of women in the electoral process.
