Minister Mnatsakanyan met with Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of Oman

On February 15, on margins of the Munich Security Conference, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of issues of bilateral agenda. The Foreign Ministers commended the effective cooperation established between two countries both in bilateral and multilateral formats, which creates a good foundation for taking practical steps aimed at fully utilizing the existing potential. As a priority direction, the strengthening of cooperation in trade  and economic sphere was underscored.

Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah on the domestic political developments in Armenia emphasizing the commitment of the Armenian Government to implement the extensive agenda of reforms, the core of which is the promotion of innovation and technology driven economy.

At the meeting, Foreign Minister of Armenia highlighted the importance of strengthening and deepening  ties in the spheres of tourism, business and culture, as well as expanding the legal framework.

Upon the request of his interlocutor the Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed on Armenian approaches regarding the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
