Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Alan Duncan

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is in Munich on a working visit, met with  Alan Duncan, the UK Minister of State for Europe and Americas.

The interlocutors discussed issues of further deepening of cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats expressing readiness to take practical steps towards enriching the Armenian-UK agenda.

Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed the State Minister Duncan on the recent domestic political  developments of Armenia and underscored the commitment of the new Government of Armenia to pursue the ongoing reforms in various spheres, in this regard, appreciating the consistent support provided by the United Kingdom.

Touching upon the Government’s priorities, the Foreign Minister noted that the one of the pillars of Armenia`s development agenda is the advancement of technology-driven economy, as well as the spheres of innovation and creative education and expressed conviction that new prospects of cooperation will open though joint efforts.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Alan Duncan exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues.

At the request of his interlocutor, Minister Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia’s approaches to the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict stressing the importance of creating an environment conducive to peace and refraining from aggressive rhetorics and the steps towards escalating the situation.
