On February 15, while in Munich on a working visit, Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan met with Robert Menendez, the Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

During the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues related to the partnership between Armenia and the United States in that context highlighting the role of American- Armenian community.

At the request of his interlocutor the Foreign Minister presented recent domestic political developments in Armenia, as well as the reforms being implemented by the Government on the basis of broad popular mandate and emphasized that ensuring the development of high technology and innovation based economy is a priority.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues highlighting the importance of protection of religious and national minorities in the Middle East.
