Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Rwanda
16 February, 2019On February 16, on the margins of the Munich Security Conference, Foreign Minister of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met Richard Sezibera, Foreign Minister of Rwanda.
Minister Mnatsakanyan underscored that Armenia is committed to develop comprehensive cooperation with the countries of the African continent, in this regard highlighting the platform of the international structures, particularly of the International Organization of La Francophonie.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects of intensification Armenian-Rwandan relations and expanding the bilateral agenda, outlining joint steps for the full implementation of the existing potential. Digital economy, information technology and innovation spheres were highlighted as a priority direction of cooperation. Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan emphasized Armenia's readiness to initiate programs for sharing experiences in these fields.
Touching upon the consistent steps of Armenia and Rwanda on the international platforms aimed at preventing genocide and crimes against humanity, Foreign Ministers Mnatsakanyan and Sezibera highlighted the consolidation of the international community's efforts towards advancing the prevention agenda.
