Political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and the Netherlands

On March 8, political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and the Netherlands were held in Yerevan. The Armenian and the Dutch delegations were held by Avet Adonts, the Deputy Foreign Minister, and Pieter Jan Kleiweg de Zwaan, the Deputy Director-General for Political Affairs, respectively.

During the consultations the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues on the Armenian-Dutch bilateral political agenda, exchanged views on prospects of further deepening the cooperation in trade, economic and other spheres.

At the meeting both sides highly appreciated the recent intensification of high-level of political dialogue between Armenia and the Netherlands. In this context the Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts emphasized that the Armenian side considers this consultation as a meeting aimed at coordinating steps for implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level meetings.

Touching upon the current stage of the Armenia-EU partnership and development perspectives, the Armenian side presented the process of harmonization of the Comprehensive and Advanced Partnership Agreement implementation roadmap between the sides and highlighted the importance of rapid ratification of CEPA  by the Netherlands.

During the consultations the sides touched upon the launch of EU visa liberalization dialogue  and the support of EU member countries in this process.
