Consul General Baibourtian’s lecture organized by the Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America

On March 10, Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America initiated a lecture-based discussion, where Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles Dr. Armen Baibourtian was invited to be the speaker. His lecture was titled “Armenia’s Transition: Challenges and Opportunities for a Quantum Leap.” The presentation was dedicated to perspectives opened up for Armenia and analyzed within a more comprehensive context of challenges and opportunities, institutional capabilities, and prospects.

Ambassador Baibourtian presented his vision for transformation of the country’s political institutions, sustainable development, and economic ascent stipulated by comprehensive reforms. He outlined the ways and the toolkit for direct engagement of the Armenian Diaspora, in particular the Armenian community of California, in those processes highlighting its all-national essence. The Consul General also conversed about the impact of recent political developments in Armenia on the country’s political, economic, social, and public realms. At the end, he responded to numerous questions the audience asked him.
