On April 24-26, the delegation headed by Ouch Borith, the State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Kingdom of Cambodia, arrived in Armenia to hold political consultations between the Foreign Ministry of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

On April 26, first political consultations were held between the Foreign Ministries of two countries, during which a wide range of issues of bilateral interest were discussed, including the possibilities of expanding and deepening the cooperation, collaboration within international organizations, particularly, towards the genocide prevention agenda.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation within the framework of the International Organization of La Francophonie and a number of regional issues.

The head of the Armenian delegation Avet Adonts, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, noted that there are good prospects for friendly cooperation between the two countries both on the international fora and in a number of economic sectors. With this regard, he emphasized the necessity to implement through joint efforts specific agreements reached between the parties to advance cooperation in the fields of information technology, tourism and trade.

The outcomes of the consultations were summarized at the meeting with Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. Foreign Minister of Armenia noted that such discussions provide an opportunity to discuss prospects for further development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries and outline further steps in that direction.

On April 24, the Cambodian delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial. They also held meetings in the National Assembly of Armenia, in the Ministries of Economic Development and Investments and Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, visited the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies.
