On August 21, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a phone conversation with Sameh Shoukry, the Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt,  during which the sides discussed issues of bilateral agenda.

The two Foreign Ministers highlighted the importance of active political dialogue, high-level reciprocal visits and regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries within the context of the development of bilateral relations.

The interlocutors commended the effective cooperation between the two countries on both bilateral and multilateral platforms. The Foreign Minister of Armenia reiterated Armenia's support for Egypt with regard to the negotiations on the EAEU-Egypt Free Trade Agreement.
