On October 14, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Stéphane Visconti (France), Andrew Schofer (US) and Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

At the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the discussions between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, held in New York in September, and on the following developments. Creating an environment conducive to peace and, in this context, reducing recently escalated tensions on the border was particularly highlighted.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group  Co-Chairs touched upon the positions of the parties in the peace process, and, in this context, Minister Mnatsakanyan emphasized the need to ensure proportionality of commitments in the peace process.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the further steps within the Co-Chairs’ format.

In the frames of regional visit, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs will hold meetings with the authorities of Artsakh and Azerbaijan.
