On November 26, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Harlem Désir, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the  Media.

Welcoming Harlem Désir, who is in Armenia to participate in the  international conference dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, Minister Mnatsakanyan commended such regular contacts on different levels which attest to the close and constructive cooperation between the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media and relevant state structures of Armenia.

Foreign Minister noted that Armenia always supports the strengthening of human and financial capacities of the Office and ensuring consistency of the existing dialogue. Minister Mnatsakanyan also reiterated his support for the reforms initiated by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.

Minister Mnatsakanyan and the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media exchanged detailed views on the issues related to the Freedom of the Press in the OSCE region. Foreign Minister attached special importance to ensuring Freedom of Speech and Press in domestic political processes in Armenia.
