Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsaknayan received Ivan Kuleba, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine

On January 24, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsaknayn received Ivan Kuleba, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia, on the occasion of handing the copy of his credentials. 

Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated Ivan Kuleba on the occasion of assuming the responsible mission and expressed hope that during his tenure the Ambassador will contribute to further deepening and development of the Armenia-Ukraine relations which have a strong historical background. 

The Foreign Minister and the Ambassador highly appreciated the role of the Armenian community actively involved in social and political life of Ukraine and serving as a bridge for strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.

Both sides outlined the steps to be taken towards strengthening the Armenian-Ukrainian political dialogue, including through regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries, and active dialogue at different levels. In this context the interlocutors underscored the importance of holding the next session of the Armenian-Ukrainian Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Affairs.

The parties also highlighted the parliamentary platform of cooperation and expressed conviction that the friendship groups established in the parliaments of the two countries would contribute to active inter-parliamentary relations between Armenian and Ukraine.

The interlocutors had a comprehensive exchange of views on a number of urgent issues of international and regional agenda
