On May 14, at the initiative of the Russian side, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

The Foreign Ministers discussed issues of bilateral agenda, as well as cooperation within regional the CIS, the EAEU and the CSTO.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Sergey Lavrov touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. In the context of addressing challenges posed by COVID-19, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan highlighted the importance of strict adherence by all parties to the conflict to the provisions of the joint statement adopted on April 21 with the participation and mediation of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
