On October 3, another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Yerevan. Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan headed the Armenian delegation at the consultations, and Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, headed the Iranian delegation.

During the consultations, the sides discussed a range of issues on the bilateral political agenda. They also touched upon the bilateral economic agenda and exchanged views on other important issues of mutual interest.

The sides underlined the importance of ensuring the continuity of bilateral political consultations.
