On December 30, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani. Minister Aivazian congratulated his counterpart on reappointment as Foreign Minister.

The Foreign Minister touched upon issues of bilateral and regional agenda. The sides underlined their readiness to make efforts aimed at strengthening the relations based on the centuries-old friendship and neighborly traditions including through intensifying the contacts and dialogue at various levels. 

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia exchanged views on the issues of regional peace and security.
