On May 13, in the first half of the day, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov. The interlocutors continued the discussions on the steps to be undertaken towards de-escalating the situation on the state border of the Republic of Armenia resulting from the actions of the Azerbaijani side.

Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian stressed the inadmissibility of instigating provocative actions and thus any manifestation of an encroachment on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia exchanged views on the maintaining of regional security and stability.
