On December 9, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, who is in Paris on a working visit, met with the Secretary General of La Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo.

The interlocutors discussed the implementation of Armenia’s initiatives within the framework of its presidency of the Francophonie Summit.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Louise Mushikiwabo touched upon the prospects of strengthening Armenia-Francophonie cooperation, particularly through the implementation of programs in the spheres of economy and youth.

Foreign Minister of Armenia stressed that Armenia supports the reform agenda proposed by the Secretary-General of La Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo.

The Secretary General of La Francophonie presented to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia the final report of the observation mission carried out by the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie during the June parliamentary elections in Armenia.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Louise Mushikiwabo also exchanged views on issues related to the preparations of the Organization ahead of the 18th Francophonie Summit for 2022 in Tunisia.
During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan also presented to his counterpart a number of issues on regional stability and security.
