On March 9, the opening ceremony of the "Aspirations: France-Armenia" conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and France was held under the chairmanship of the Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Paris within the delegation headed by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the Foreign Minister of France Jean-Baptiste Lemoine.

In his opening remarks, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan touched upon the prospects of development of the Armenian-French privileged relations, emphasising that the centuries-old traditional ties between the two peoples served as an important foundation for the development of Armenian-French interstate relations.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia noted that despite the 30-year old Armenian-French rich agenda, there are great opportunities for expanding the cooperation, particularly in economic, infrastructure, educational, healthcare, cultural and other spheres.

It was stressed that there is a mutual determination to expand the Armenian-French economic cooperation in the spirit of privileged relations between Armenia and France, bringing it in line with the level of friendship and political dialogue between the peoples.

The joint meeting of the working group on economic issues held in Paris last December and the signing of a five-year roadmap for Armenian-French economic cooperation were especially highlighted as an important milestone in the development of the economic agenda.

Summing up his remarks, Ararat Mirzoyan noted that the relations between Armenia and France are embarking on the 30th anniversary with significant achievements, and there is mutual readiness and great potential for their deepening and strengthening.
