Exchange of messages between the Republic Armenia and Oriental Republic of Uruguay on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations

On May 27, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay Francisco Bustillo Bonasso exchanged messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Uruguay. 

In his message, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia  stressed the dynamic development of relations between our two countries based on friendship, mutual understanding and trust, in which the diaspora of Armenia, formed in Uruguay after the Armenian Genocide, had its specific role. Among others, the high-level political dialogue, interparliamentary cooperation, and collaboration within international organizations were highlighted.

In his turn the Foreign Minister of  Uruguay stressed the interest of the Uruguayan side  in continuing the development of relationships with Armenia, the demonstration of which was the opening of a resident Embassy in Yerevan. The Uruguayan side is committed to continuing the political dialogue with Armenia. The  influential role of the  Armenian community in the social life of the country was stressed, contributing to the especially positive attitude toward Armenians and the Armenian nation.

The sides reaffirmed their commitment to the consolidation of relations, adding the existing cooperation with pragmatic and mutually beneficial programs.
