Political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Romania

On September 12, political consultations were held in Yerevan between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Romania. The consultations were held between delegations led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan and State Secretary of Romania Iulian Fota.

During the consultations, the sides discussed a wide range of issues concerning the Armenian-Romanian bilateral political agenda, as well as commended the current level of bilateral political dialogue.

Views were exchanged on a number of issues of mutual interest concerning regional and international agenda. The Armenian side presented the efforts of Armenia directed at establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

At the end of the consultations Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Iulian Fota. Minister Mirzoyan noted the importance of holding Armenian-Romanian political consultations, as well as mutual official visits, which contribute to the further deepening of the cooperation between the two countries. The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of strengthening Armenian-Romanian cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
