On September 15, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan received the Ambassador-Designate of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Dang Minh Khoi (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of handing over a copy of his credentials.

The deputy minister, congratulating Ambassador Dang on assuming the mission, expressed his belief that the ambassador will contribute to further strengthening and deepening of relations between Armenia and Vietnam.

Both sides showed willingness to make all efforts in the direction of full realization of the existing potential of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade and business relations, tourism, agriculture and education. The cooperation formed between Armenia and Vietnam on various international platforms, especially in the International Organization of Francophonie, was highly appreciated.

Mnatsakan Safaryan also referred to the current situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the Nagorno Karabakh problem. In that context, the Deputy Minister emphasized Vietnam's support on international platforms in condemning Azerbaijan's aggression against Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
