On May 10 Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Igor Khovaev, the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the Special Representative of Foreign Minister of Russia on the issues of supporting the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

At the meeting issues of regional security and stability were discussed.

Minister Mirzoyan touched upon the positions of the Armenian side regarding the fundamental issues within the framework of the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Regarding the ongoing blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan which is in violation of the Trilateral Statement of November 9, 2020, as well as the humanitarian crisis unfolded in Nagorno-Karabakh, the urgent need for all interested partners to take active steps towards ensuring stability in the South Caucasus region was again emphasised.
