On July 13, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia met with Tobias Lindner, Minister of State of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, who visited Armenia within the framework of the regional visit to South Caucasus. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral agenda, and exchanged views on promoting cooperation in spheres of mutual interest, including the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.

Both sides noted that the frequency of high-level bilateral visits testifies to the dynamic development of Armenian-German relations and high-level political dialogue.

Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan briefed Minister of State Lindner on the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the security situation and the efforts of Armenia aimed at establishing peace in the region. The parties also discussed the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, the imperative of ending the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor and excluding the aggressive rhetoric and the threat of the use of force by Azerbaijan was emphasized.
