On September 19, in New York, within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Bujar Osmani, OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia.

Major security and humanitarian issues emerged as a result of the large-scale aggression carried out by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh since September 19 were at the core of the meeting. Minister Mirzoyan noted that Azerbaijan, guided by the feeling of impunity, perceives the lack of deterrent measures by international institutions as permissiveness and seeks to achieve ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh through the open use of force.

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the imperative for the urgent launch of relevant OSCE mechanisms.
