On September 22, within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Yuri Kim, the Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia.

As a continuation of their meeting of September 19 and the emergency session of the UN Security Council held on September 21, the interlocutors discussed the situation resulting from Azerbaijan's aggression against the people of Nagorno Karabakh.

The overall security situation in the South Caucasus was touched upon.
