On October 5, in Granada, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Josep Borrel, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

The situation resulting from the forced displacement of more than 100,000 people from Nagorno-Karabakh, its political and humanitarian components were discussed. Minister Mirzoyan emphasised that the fact that Azerbaijan has deprived an entire population of their homeland and the behaviour of resorting to the use of force should unconditionally receive a clear international reaction.

The interlocutors touched upon the overall security situation in the region reaffirming the imperative to deter any aspirations towards territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the EU HR/VP also discussed issues of the Armenia-EU partnership agenda.
