On October 23, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan had a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Safari.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Iran arrived in Armenia as a part of the delegation led by Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Republic Mehrdad Bazrpash to participate in the signing of the contract on the construction of the Agarak-Kajaran section, North-South highway.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral economic agenda between Armenia and Iran, as well as of regional cooperation.

The sides commended the progress of the joint economic projects.
