Meeting with the UK Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs and National Security advisers

On November 14, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with John Bew, Foreign Affairs Advisor and Sarah Macintosh, Deputy National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Stressing the importance of organizing high-level mutual visits, Minister Mirzoyan commended that this visit reflects the positive dynamics of the Armenian-British political dialogue in recent period. It was highlighted that the official launch of the Strategic Dialogue between Armenia and the United Kingdom during the visit, as well as the opening of a new and more presentable building of the Embassy of Armenia in the heart of London, indicate the bilateral willingness to expand the ambitious agenda and use the existing potential.

Views were exchanged on the prospects for developing cooperation in the main directions and fields of the Armenia-UK Strategic Dialogue in the benefit of both enriching the bilateral agenda and establishing lasting stability in the region.

The interlocutors also touched upon the issues of interaction on international platforms and discussed the importance of ensuring the inclusiveness of regional programs as a guarantee of peace and stable economic development. In this context, Ararat Mirzoyan also presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Government of Armenia.

Touching upon the problems faced by more than 100,000 Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the implementation of steps aimed at addressing their needs and rights, including with the involvement of international partners.
