On December 5, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan participated and delivered opening remarks at the "New Regional Reality and The Crossroads of Peace" expert conference, which brought together experts from Armenia, Georgia, Iran, India and Turkey. The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Ambassador of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani and Ambassador of India to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha were among the esteemed participants of the Conference delivering opening remarks.

In his remarks the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the role of such platforms in expanding the dialogue between academic-research communities and governments as well as in policy planning aimed at more effective decision-making.

Mnatsakan Safaryan referred to Armenia’s potential in bridging the North to the South and the East to the West and presented Armenia’s vision of a peaceful neighborhood and an interconnected wider region, reflected in the "Crossroads of Peace" project, elaborated by the Government of Armenia.
