Ministerial Meeting of the Landlocked Developing Countries completed its work

On December 15, the Ministerial Meeting of the Landlocked Developing Countries convened in Yerevan, under the theme “Enhancing equitable, affordable and inclusive transport connectivity as a driver for sustainable and resilient economies”, completed its work.

In his final statement Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan expressed confidence that the discussions in the framework of the Ministerial meeting will play an important role in terms of addressing the current stage and the prospects of cooperation between the landlocked developing and transit countries, UN system bodies and agencies, development partners and international financial institutions.

In conclusion, the Ministerial meeting led to thе adoption of the Yerevan Statement. Deputy Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Gevorgyan presented the key points of the Statement, which reflects a wide range of thematic aspects related to transport connectivity and stresses the important role of equitable and inclusive transport communications in promoting peace, security and cultural ties between peoples.
