On December 20, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the delegation headed by Regina De Dominicis, UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan highly appreciated the work with the United Nations Children’s Fund in Armenia and the program cooperation in a number of directions, as well as the engagement of UNICEF in humanitarian response and work with forcibly displaced refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Both sides emphasized the importance of the provision of comprehensive support to refugee children, assessment of their needs and protection of children from the most vulnerable groups. Regina De Dominics also noted the progress made so far in the field of children’s rights in Armenia, highlighting the active cooperation between the branch agencies of the Republic of Armenia and UNICEF.
