On January 22, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Bergljot Hovland, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Armenia on the occasion of handing over a copy of her credentials.

The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Ambassador Hovland on the occasion of her appointment and conveyed his best wishes for a productive tenure. 

Paruyr Hovhannisyan expressed confidence that during her tenure the Ambassador will spare no effort towards the further development of relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues on both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Issues on deepening the political dialogue, cooperation in trade, economic spheres and international organizations were also discussed.

Touching upon regional and international security issues, Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed his interlocutor on the steps aimed at the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The sides expressed readiness to make efforts towards fully realizing the existing potential of bilateral cooperation.
