On February 18, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the meeting, the active high-level political dialogue, mutual visits, and further expansion of intensive cooperation between the two countries in various fields were touched upon. The interlocutors particularly commended the exchange programs in the education sector and the existing additional opportunities.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Jordan exchanged views on regional issues. Ararat Mirzoyan briefed on the approaches of Armenia to key issues in the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.

At the meeting, the situation around the Armenian quarter in Jerusalem was touched upon.
