On April 28, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani, Chief Investment Officer of the Qatar Investment Authority. The meeting took place within the framework of the official visit of Ararat Mirzoyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia, to Qatar.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of developing economic ties in line with the high-level political dialogue established between the two countries. Views were exchanged on the existing prospects in this direction.

In particular, Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan briefed his interlocutor on the factors contributing to Armenia's economic attractiveness, the programs initiated by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and investment opportunities.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, which can best serve the long-term goal of connecting the Gulf countries to the Black Sea.

Vahan Kostanyan and Sheikh Faisal Al-Thani also discussed the issues of increasing the engagement of Qatari companies in trade, infrastructure development, agriculture and possible other fields.
