Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan participated in the exhibition dedicated to the centuries-old Armenian-Indian friendship and cultural ties

On April 30, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan participated in the special exhibition dedicated to the centuries-old Armenian-Indian friendship and cultural ties between the Armenian and Indian peoples. The Exhibition was organized at the National Gallery of Armenia in collaboration with the Armenian National Commission for UNESCO. Works of Sarkis Katchadourian, a renowned Armenian artist, were displayed at the exhibition.

The event was attended by H.E. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, the Ambassador of India to Armenia, Marina Hakobyan, the Director of the National Gallery of Armenia, Davit Knyazyan, the Secretary General of the Armenian National Commission for UNESCO, Narek Babayan and Lilit Stepanyan, members of the Armenia-India Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Armenia, as well as representatives of the Embassy of India and officials from the MFA of Armenia.

Among his other works, Sarkis Katchadourian is known for his exceptional paintings of the Ajanta caves murals, making a valuable contribution to the preservation of ancient Indian art for future generations.

Today, the considerable part of Sarkis Katchadourian's works is preserved at the National Gallery of Armenia representing the centuries-old cultural and spiritual bond between the Armenian and Indian peoples.
