The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia handed over the copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On May 29, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulrahman Al Al-Sheikh (residence in Tbilisi) on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

Congratulating Ambassador Salman bin Abdulrahman Al Al-Sheikh upon the assumption of his mission, Vahan Kostanyan noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last November was an important milestone. In this regard, the Deputy Minister expressed confidence that the accreditation of the Ambassador will contribute to the strengthening and development of relations between the two countries.

Both sides noted the significant potential for bilateral cooperation. The parties expressed readiness to spare no effort towards expanding multifaceted cooperation. The importance of mutual high-level visits, as well as the formation of a legal framework between the two countries were highlighted.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister briefed the interlocutor on the efforts of Armenia aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region, as well as unblocking regional transport and economic communications and touched upon the latest developments in relations between Armenia and neighboring countries.
