The Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On June 29, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković.

Issues of bilateral and regional agenda were discussed.

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries touched upon the opportunities of expanding the political dialogue and development of cooperation in spheres of mutual interest. The readiness to use the opportunities to the maximum extent was emphasized.

The interlocutors exchanged views on issues of deepening the partnership with the EU. Minister Mirzoyan informed his counterpart about the priorities of Armenia while developing the new partnership agenda with the EU, the functioning of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia as well as the steps taken in cooperation with partners to strengthen the resilience of Armenia.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized: “Armenia took the path of democratic development, we want to develop an advanced economy as well as be involved in projects aimed at fostering regional connectivity. These goals bring us closer to the EU and broader the opportunities of cooperation with the Balkan countries.”

The head of the foreign political ministry presented the project of “Crossroads of Peace” and the opportunities of its implementation, both economically and in terms of regional stability. In the context of the latter, Minister Mirzoyan presented the challenges existing in the South Caucasus, and the importance of signing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
