The newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See handed over the copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On September 25, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Archbishop Ante Jozić, the newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of handing over a copy of his credentials.

Congratulating the newly appointed Nuncio on assuming the diplomatic mission in Armenia, Foreign Minister expressed confidence that the Apostolic Nuncio will spare no effort to further strengthen friendly ties and enrich the bilateral agenda between the two states.

During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the range of issues on both bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was highlighted. Both sides also emphasized the need to protect the spiritual, historical and cultural heritage.

The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative developed by the Government of Armenia, as well as the latest developments in the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, stressing the importance of avoiding artificial impediments on the path to signing the peace treaty.

The sides discussed other issues on regional and global developments.
