The newly appointed Ambassador of Spain handed over a copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia
19 November, 2024On November 19, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Ricardo Martinez Vazquez, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of handing over a copy of his credentials.
The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Ambassador Vazquez on assuming the position and wished him fruitful work during his responsible mission. Highlighting the importance of traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and Spain, Paruyr Hovhannisyan expressed confidence that the Ambassador will spare no effort to further strengthen and develop the cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the range of issues on both bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was highlighted.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan also briefed the Ambassador on the position of the Armenian side regarding the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the “Crossroad of Peace’’ project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The interlocutors also discussed a number of other international and regional issues.
