The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Netherlands

On December 2, within the framework of the working visit to The Hague, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands Caspar Velkamp.

The interlocutors touched upon the steps aimed at expanding the bilateral agenda between Armenia and the Netherlands, highlighting, on one hand, the solid foundations of cooperation established in recent years and, on the other, the willingness to further deepen the partnership through joint efforts. The main areas with potential for further development of cooperation were discussed.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Caspar Velkamp discussed the prospects for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that the Netherlands is an important partner for Armenia in advancing cooperation with the EU, based on shared democratic values.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands exchanged views on regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan presented the efforts made towards establishment of sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, including the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized Armenia's clearly expressed political will to conclude the peace treaty with Azerbaijan.

In the context of developing regional communication networks, the "Crossroads of Peace” project, developed by the government of Armenia, was touched upon.
