On December 2, in The Hague, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the President of the Assembly of States Parties to the International Criminal Court (ICC) Päivi Kaukoranta.

The interlocutors discussed issues of cooperation among member states to ensure the effectiveness of the ICC. It was emphasized that in the current period, marked by numerous challenges, a strong commitment to upholding international legal norms, ensuring the rule of law, and supporting the functioning of the Court is more important than ever.

Accordingly, the priorities of Armenia’s cooperation with the ICC were touched upon.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Päivi Kaukoranta also exchanged views on the potential role of international justice mechanisms in ensuring lasting peace.
