Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan
04 December, 2024On December 4 Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
The interlocutors discussed efforts aimed at broadening the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Kazakhstan and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in respective areas. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high-level political dialogue conducted over the past year, as well as reaffirmed their readiness to actively implement the agreements reached during high-level visits.
Cooperation on multilateral platforms was also touched upon.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Murat Nurtleu exchanged views on regional issues.
The importance of unblocking economic and transport communications and expanding the network of connectivity routes was emphasized as a guarantee for stability and the development of economically beneficial cooperation. In this context, the “Crossroads of Peace” concept developed by the Government of Armenia and the opportunities offered in case of its implementation were touched upon.
Presenting the latest developments in the process, Minister Mirzoyan reaffirmed the vision of Armenia on using the historic opportunity and signing the treaty on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan within a short timeframe.
