On December 7 on the sidelines of the "Manama Dialogue" forum, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman for Diplomatic Affairs Sheikh Khalifa Al-Harsi.

The interlocutors discussed issues on the bilateral and regional agenda.

The deputy ministers of Armenia and Oman looked into the possibilities of developing cooperation in sectoral areas. The importance of further uncovering the potential in the tourism sector was emphasized, in the context of which the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia expressed satisfaction with the agreement on launching direct flights to Oman.

The interlocutors also discussed opportunities for advancing cooperation in other areas of mutual interest, particularly in telecommunications, agriculture, smart economy, education and culture.

At the request of his Omani counterpart, Deputy Minister Kostanyan presented the latest developments in the processes of normalization of relations with neighboring countries.

The situation in the Middle East was also touched upon.
