The newly appointed Ambassador of Austria handed over a copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On December 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Robert Gerschner, the newly appointed Ambassador of Austria to Armenia (residence in Tbilisi), on the occasion of handing over a copy of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming his mission, Paruyr Hovhannisyan expressed hope that the tenure would be distinguished by the enhancement of Armenia-Austria relations.

The interlocutors touched upon the high-level political dialogue between the two countries and the positive dynamics in bilateral relations in recent years. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding effective partnerships in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, education, culture, and technology.

During the meeting, the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, the steps undertaken by the Armenian side to promote security and stability in the South Caucasus, and the "Crossroads of Peace" project were also discussed.
